Band name: The name "THE RIP" is an abrieviation of the initials of each band members nickname "REDGE,I-BALL& PIMP" (Jimmy came up with this and it stuck )

Our live show will take to the stage with the release of our independent debut CD entitled “THE RIP” We have started booking shows in our local area produced by GK PRODUCTIONS, LTD owned an opperated by band member Ira Jay Gold. (AKA I-BALL)
FALL 2005
We have launched a basic radio campain which will help spread the buzz about the band . We are speaking with a marketing company or two about a more effective campain which will ultimatly produce results and begin the rotation in AAA market .
SUMMER 2005
We sought advice from the A&R President of Road Runner Records Monter Conner to give us some feedback on our overall plans as well as some insite on the business of making records in today's market. Well, he was blunt and straight to the point about who he signs in this day and age which is mostly metal band that live in a van and eat dirt. He didn't refer us to any labels but he made it clear that we should start on a small label with good distribution making sure we have played our share of local gigs first as well as thinking smart when it comes to self promotion. Thanks, Monte ! (What an awesome experience this was indeed.) He's a very approachable human being folks..
FALL- SPRING 2004
Rehersals twice weekly, writing & recording tunes for our demo in our dungeon studio on Avenue N in Brooklyn .We basically had to adjust to our tight scheduale to make sure we all would not loose sight of our goal which is simply to play hard, cut a record and gear up to play to audiences as a new rock trio.
History
“THE RIP” and its members have been on the scene since 1983 in former bands opening for local and national acts. “THE RIP” features former members of bands such as "ANLACE, BELIAL, RANK,THE ROCK MINORITY” & “SHORT CIRCUIT”. Both bands separately have been favorites of “LAMOUR” located in Brooklyn NY opening for such acts as LIZZY BORDEN, ACE FREELEY OF KISS, SAIGON KICK ,WARRIOR SOUL and many more. We all got a taste of the original NY/LA metal sceen at L'amour in the hay day with DJ Chuck Kay, The Parente's, Ken Kriete, Marc Shwartz, Dizzy and more from 1983-1995 . May L'amour & the scene rest in peace.
